Part of the Carrousel of the Nations, the three day Carrousel by the River is staged at Windsors Festival Plaza on June 10, 11, and 12. Entrance to the paza is $5.00, and the fun starts midday everyday and ends at midnight. Well that's what they said. I think it runs later on Saturday and closes earlier on Sunday. There is live music most of the time. It is supposed to be ethnic but some of the band names sound distinctly retro. Friday, June 9th
Saturday, June 10th
Sunday, June 11th
The organizer don't guarantee that the musical line up is cast in stone. It might change. Of course you can dine while listen to the bagpipes and maracas. Culinary-diversity is rampent in Windsor. It is one of the joys of a mulicultural scociety. There are also talk of national and ethnic costumes. which usualy means men in kilts. This is the thirty-first year that the Carrousel of the Nations has been held, but it is the first time for the Carrousel by the River. |
